Terms of Use

1. The app

SmartPrint is an iOS app by NorthStudio that helps you print, scan, and organize documents and photos. It prepares your content and hands it to Apple's AirPrint for printing. SmartPrint does not control your printer, your network, or Apple's printing system, and printing results depend on those.

2. Your license

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use SmartPrint on Apple devices you own or control, in line with these terms and with Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Where these terms and Apple's standard EULA differ, the stricter term applies.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the app to create, copy, or print anything unlawful, or anything you do not have the right to reproduce;
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code, except where the law expressly permits it;
• Interfere with or disrupt the app, or use it in a way that could harm others.

4. Your content

You keep all rights to the documents, photos, and files you use in the app. We claim no ownership over them, and because they are processed on your device, we do not access them. You are responsible for having the right to print and reproduce your content.

5. Purchases

SmartPrint is free to download. If the app offers any paid features or purchases in the future, those transactions are handled by the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple's terms, including its refund policy. Any prices and what they include will be shown clearly before you buy.

6. Third-party services and printers

Printing relies on Apple AirPrint and on your printer and network, which we do not provide or control. Cloud imports rely on services such as iCloud, Google Drive, Dropbox, and OneDrive, provided by others. We are not responsible for those services, and their availability or behavior is outside our control.

7. Disclaimer

SmartPrint is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that every printer will be compatible, that printing will always succeed, or that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NorthStudio will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for wasted paper, ink, or supplies, arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you.

9. Changes

We may update the app and these terms over time. When we update the terms, we will change the date above. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable where NorthStudio is established, without limiting any mandatory consumer protections you have where you live.
